Overview
Mandela community development programme is a Kenyan NGO founded in 2005 with a mission to empower communities through climate change adaptation and mitigation initiatives. We work directly with local communities, Government agencies, and partners to implement sustainable, practical and impactful environmental solutions. Our main goals:
- Provision of community water for humans, livestock and irrigation
- Mitigation and adaptation to climate change effects
- Conservation of environment mainly through tree planting
- Promotion of green energy based on clean development mechanisms and carbon trading
